BA 7 – Quintin 53
BA suffer crash landing for second time in a week
I think it would be fair to say that the hardest thing about this game was trying to avoid punching the player from BA with the highlighted hair.
The signs for BA were ominous when Quintin players overheard them talking just before the kick off saying that there weren’t ready for the game. And so it proved, when soon after kick off, Welsh sheep worrier boyo ran most of the pitch to open the scoring – the BA tackling seemed non existent.
Parsley was doing a Matfield in the lineout stealing opposition ball meaning that BA were struggling to get any possession. Towards the end of the first half BA managed to get within 5 yards of our try line, and only frantic defending by the mighty Quintin prevented them from scoring. Our forwards were pretty tired after this and Smythe rewarded them with a run from our 10 yard line after being awarded a penalty. He made all of 5 metres before gifting BA a lineout – sigh.
The second half saw BA start to get their act together, and after Quintin lost the ball from their own put in on their five yard line, BA crossed the line for their only try of the game. Normal service was soon resumed, with Quintin scoring number of tries.
Man of the Match: Damo – good work in the front row and scored a try
Dick of the Day: That bell-end from BA
